The entire herd is tested annually for CL, CAE & Johnes. We are fortunate to work with a local veterinarian for our goat health care. Results are available upon request.
All goats will be as up to date as possible on CD-T vaccinations, deworming, external parasite control & hoof trimming prior to leaving the farm. Goat kids will be disbudded or polled. Disbudding can fail and on occasion there are horned kids available. Non-breeding quality bucklings will be wethered at or after 8 weeks of age to allow for better urethral development.
We will ensure every goat is healthy prior to leaving the farm, however once they have left the property, we are no longer responsible for their health or care. Buyer must ensure that they have adequate shelter, space and nutrition (hay, grain, mineral) to care for their goats. We are happy to share our goat husbandry methods or recommend helpful resources.
Each goat will leave with a medical record (this is NOT a certificate) and a scrapie identification tag.
Buyer is responsible for any health certificates or additional testing necessary for transporting to their location.
